Where have I been?  Working in a quite stressful environment is where I've been.  It was supposed to have been an 8-week temp assignment, but it lasted only 2 weeks for me.  I had to learn an entirely new type of work, and the time allotted to do it was rapidly dwindling.  I couldn't keep up.  More and more work on top of this was expected as well ( Read more... )

Although the rest of the flowers have mostly finished and have been removed from the garden, my kangaroo paw plant has now produced some lovely new flowers.

You can see that the lower right flower looks almost like a closed hand (with a miniature white spider at the base).
